The importance of drinking water every day !

Water is the key to life!

Hydration is a function for success!

I know you have heard it a million times, but this certainly won’t be the last!

You have to drink lots of water!


Water is the key to life because it maintains a balance in our bodies. Just like everything else in this world, everyone’s needs are different.

To calculate how much water you need, follow these directions:

  • Take your weight and divide by two. That is how much water in ounces you should be drinking per day. For example- someone who is 150 would drink 75 ounces per day.
  • Does it seem like WAY too much? Work your way up. Start with eight ounces more than you had yesterday and work towards your goal.
  • If it still seems like too much, aim for 64 ounces each day!

It is helpful to use 32oz or 64oz bottles to track the water intake daily.



Something you may find interesting (and gross) is that diseases breed in our body due to high acidity levels. Any way you can take small steps to keep your body pH balance in check in order to help fight acidity in our bodies is a good thing.

How? Simply alkaline your body.

You can do this without fancy water systems or expensive “special water” by simply squeezing fresh lemon or lime.

Some H2O friendly tips:


1) Get a water bottle and keep refilling it. Most of the time, restaurants don’t have trouble filling your water bottle for you (as long as you buy something). Not only will you be hydrating, you save money too!



2) Drink 8 oz. of water before you get out of bed. This is a great way to start your day and will jumpstart your metabolism.



3) For every alcoholic beverage you have, drink a glass of water. This will fill you up and save you from a hangover the next morning.



4) Drink a glass of water with every meal. Don’t finish your meal until you finish your water.



5) If you are flying, be sure to drink water before and during your flight. A lot of times, being on a plane can cause bloating. If you’re hydrated, you can help fight the bloat.
